NEW GROUND

Sunday 16th we have 100+ acres of new ground just behind the village of Fringford, the roman road runs very very close by and there are several interesting features in the area.

This area is potentially very interesting and there are known interesting sites all pretty close to our search fields.

A quick reckie produced a Roman coin, part of roman tweezers a few georgian coinns and a book clasp.

1 of the fields had a slight level of contamination with bits of tin and wire etc, 2 other fields also gave me a bit more trash than goodies but not bad enough to put me off and 3/4 of the fields were clean and gave me no rubbish signals(not saying there are not some there) but had more good than bad signals

We are very positive we will be seeing a good selection & wide variety of finds being found & recorded on this dig from a few of our search fields.
